(Mercatino Arabo) The Arabic Market: Early birds can join the locals for a stroll through the weekly Tuesday morning market in Piazza Pertini, located in the town of Sant’Antioco. It is one of the area's vibrant fruit and vegetable markets, where you can find tasty local cheeses (which can be sliced and vacuum-packed for you), olive oil, the famous local carpets, and traditional crafts, alongside the usual bric-a-brac. You can purchase all kinds of Sardinian delicacies: from fresh seafood and spicy salami to wheels of pecorino cheese as large as cartwheels. Here, you will find the finest cheeses, cured meats, bottarga, bread, wine, and intriguing sweets, as well as local honey and torrone.
For local fruit and vegetables, jams, vegetable preserves, and local items preserved in oil or vinegar: Bon’ora on Via Bologna.
For wine: The Sardus Pater Social Winery of Sant'Antioco, opposite the Conad supermarket.
For liqueurs: Sulki artisan distillery.
For tuna, bottarga, etc.: Efisio Salis on the Sant'Antioco seafront.
When it comes to jewelry, you can't miss the coral: Specifically the typical red Sardinian coral.

Assemini (located near Cagliari, along the road to the airport) is famous for its ceramics, glazed in blue and white or yellow and green, and embellished with naturalistic motifs such as birds and flowers. Villamassargia is renowned for its rugs, bags, and Sardinian-style curtains—essentially hand-woven textiles created according to tradition. In Sant’Antioco, you can also find the last remaining artisans who craft wicker baskets, made from interwoven wild olive branches.
